Have a Feature Idea?
If you have an idea for a new feature that would improve your Supernotes experience, we’d love to hear it! Please check the following before posting:
- Your feature may already exist! Search the Help Center Documentation and double-check it’s not there.
- There might be an existing feature request on the same topic, so have a quick search on this Community Forum to avoid creating duplicate threads.
- Please keep one feature request per topic, rather than bundle a couple in one topic, as it makes it harder to keep track, organize, and mention them. Feel free to create multiple topics at a time.
How Feature Requests Work
Supernotes is an established product, and over the years, we’ve accumulated hundreds of new feature requests. It would be impossible for us to implement all of these. So instead of creating expectations with a concrete roadmap which doesn’t offer us flexibility to adapt with new community trends and desires, we’ve created a fairer system by tagging the status of each feature:
- Under Consideration: We’ve seen this, but have not made a concrete decision on this yet.
- Confirmed: We’ve discussed this internally and potentially even mocked up designs for this.
- In Development: We’ve begun writing the code that makes this work and testing this internally.
- Implemented: It’s live on the latest public Supernotes release. Check Announcements.
- Out of Scope: We discussed this internally, but the feature is currently too far off our vision and won’t be added any time soon. We won’t ever say no to a feature; it will just be out of scope. If there’s enough demand, we will reconsider it.
We continually review and update features here on the forum. If you feel like there’s something we’re not focusing on enough, feel free to bump it up by mentioning how it could help your workflow. Some very trivial requests are actually a lot more complex under the hood, so do be mindful that sometimes it’s not as easy as it might seem to add or improve something.
Note moderators will occasionally update titles and categories as well as merge topics to help keep track of related requests.
