Filtering card parents in the Tasks Collection no longer works when saved as a new Collection

Steps to reproduce
I added a few card parents in the Tasks Collection and selected “Using or operator”. When I clicked on “Save filters as New Collection”, the new Collection contains all cards under these parents. It should only contain cards with tasks.
By the way, the Tasks filtering works if I use the “and” operator and filter by colors, which is how I’m going to work around the bug now.
If I read this correctly, you’re trying to save the five active parent filters as a new collection. Doing this within the ‘Filter’ menu will not take into account the context of the collection you’re currently in (such as the Tasks collection).
You’ll have to add the tasks rule manually for now. If this is the desired behaviour we can look into adding this in a future update? (Did this actually work in the past?? It should always have only been scoped to the Filter menu)
Yes, I’m trying to limit the Tasks collection results by adding parent filters. Not sure if it was possible in the past.
I tried doing this the other way around, i.e. adding 5 parent filters and then filtering by the markup “- [ ]”, and that didn’t work. It would be great if this can be done in the future.
Gotcha, yes it would definitely be a nice to have.
And the filters menu is simple and only displays one level of filters, whereas what you want to create is more complex and requires a bunch of different filter rules. We’ve also considered adding a way for you to write JSON in the filters as an advanced option.
For now, I’m modifying this to be a feature request, and we’ll see what we can do!
