While yes I’m sure we could add a chat interface within Supernotes and would be fun to build; this sadly currently doesn’t align with our vision for AI within Supernotes and isn’t the best use of our time. If you haven’t already you should definitely read @connor’s article on AI and our direction on our blog.
As mentioned a lot of apps have added an AI Chat interface within apps, our focus is not to spend months adding another one of these. Instead we’d rather integrate more tightly with tools like Raycast and build an even better, easier API so you can just plug Supernotes data into your favourite Chat app. Just like you did with ChatGPT actions.
Or even possibly integrate at the OS level, such as with Apple Intelligence. Like we posted on Threads recently – we never spent time building a fancy writing tools interface, but our existing interface works seamless with the new AI-enabled native iOS writing tools.
Simplicity is the key to Supernotes, and we aim to avoid having different plans / confusing add-ons but just have one simple Unlimited upgrade. Our new updated pricing page reflects this as well. We’ve kept our prices the same over the last 4 years even with the inclusion of AI, rising service costs and huge milestones in functionality. While we have recently announced the (possibility) of a price increase – we are trying to avoid that as long as possible (or even altogether) so we can keep Supernotes affordable for everyone.
