Am I missing something?

Isn’t there supposed to be a /todo ?

The syntax for a todo is like so:

- [ ] My todo

I’d actually still vote for a /todo type of thing as I find the - [ ] really clunky to type on an iphone keyboard.

The dash with a space seems to be a semi official way to format a todo in markdown, but maybe just [] (no space) could be supported?

I don’t know if this would be more so for a stage where a WYSIWYG editor is being added though, as I’d somewhat assume that it would have to convert the [] into the - [ ] on the fly to be properly recognized as a todo in the app.

We have plans to add a quick formatting bar for the mobile apps, so hopefully that will address any ergonomic issues with making todos on mobile.

We generally prefer that route to extending markdown, because one of our goals is to have a portable format that you can easily use elsewhere and isn’t locked in to Supernotes.
