Force Sync shortcut

  • I often want to send something to my phone but the sync is too slow, so I would appreciate a shortcut to force sync

The sync to your phone should be instant. Which combination of apps are you using? We’re pushing some updates in the next release to further improve this.

If you want to force a sync you can already do this by opening up the Sync Status modal introduced in 3.0.5 release. To open this just clicking the sync status dialog in the User menu.

I’d like to bump this one. While the sync modal is great, it doesn’t actually force a sync. Recently I’ve encountered various issues with syncing. Card syncing has been delayed and some collections details changes seem to fail to sync entirely. The only way I’ve actually been able to force syncing is by disabling then re-enabling an internet connection, or by logging out and back in.

It would be super helpful to have a button that just forces a sync on tap/click.

Hi!
I’m new here, and I was wondering if is something that is not right with my account. Sync seems to be very slow after edit a card. I feel this mainly on collections.
For example, I have a car in the Thought collection. I feel the card with description or/ and title, but it does not disappear from the collection, even when I go home and come back to Thought collection. Only after probably 1 min it updates…

Is this normal or should be faster? Some sync indication could be great like a green and yellow dot on the left bottom.

Generally syncing between our apps should be fast, within a few seconds. If you’re not experiencing this feel free to ping us via our in-app messenger with your device details and we’ll investigate. Sometimes logging out and then back in will fix issues with real-time syncing.

If you’re sending things via our API, it may take a tad longer due to the processing required for certain endpoints.

Yes it was via API (I using it with Raycast) so in that case probably make sense the time to update!
