Description of the bug
When the text wrapped into a spoiler has a trailing ! character, there is no way to hide it.

Spoilers do wrap, you just have to tell the markdown compiler that you want it to escape the inner exclamation mark. You can do this by adding a backslash preceding the exclamation mark like so: !!this is a test\!!!. Unfortunately there’s not an easy way of knowing whether you want the exclamation to be before or after the spoiler so you have to decide this manually.
