For example, I have a collection where I want to exclude some notes, therefore I put the filter on “tagged” (since I don’t want to make the notes invisible, because then they don’t show up in the outline). Now every collection has “tagged” set as a filter, but e.g. in Home Collection I want to see all notes, not just tagged ones.
What am I missing?

Filters are applied globally, but you can configure your collections to have filters by default. For example, this is a “Tagged Collection”:

If you want “Filters” to not be maintained between views that’s not specifically something that affects collections but also one when switching between parent cards. We could look into adding this as a user preference. In the meantime, you can reset your filters super quickly with CMD / CTRL + F, and then CMD / CTRL + D.
