Over the last few months I’ve occasionally had texts that I’ve copied from somewhere and then wanted to read and process later. Because I couldn’t paste them as a PDF.
Unfortunately, these texts were so long that I couldn’t save them. I appreciate the limit very much and also see the point of the short texts behind it, but is there a way to make a length exception?
Idea: Ideally something like 10 texts for 2 weeks a month, which could be longer than 7500 characters for example and afterwards automatically stripped to max lenght, would be help.
We’ve internally discussed slightly increasing the max character length of cards from 22,800 to 34,800. But this will only happen if / once we add better support for editing longer texts. And the limit will always be too low for some. A better solution might be to auto-split these cards up into a parent and children.
But in reality the best solution is to add PDF upload support – this is v. high priority for us after 3.2, looking forward to sharing these with you soon!

Thanks @tobias for sharing your ideas. Increasing the character lenght in globo goes against the keep-it-short rule, which really helps me to better focus on what and how I write, I think this is essential for cards. If PDF is possible the no limit increase is needed.
