Hey team!
I would really like a option to index invisible cards in search. As a user, I forget that I made invisible cards because they don’t show in search. Search is this primary way I access my cards so this really throws off my flow. My temp fix is to create a custom collection that just shows invisible cards, but having to command + k search, then go to a custom collection is slow. I’d honestly take a option in app settings to enable this, so it doesn’t have to be on by default.
Thanks!!
Hi @SideMatter, thanks for the request. Can I ask why you made these cards Invisible in the first place, if you’d also like them to show up in search? To be honest that kinda defeats the purpose of card Invisibility as designed. Generally I’d say the Invisible collection does seem like the better solution to this problem.
We also try to avoid adding too many user preferences to avoid configuration overload.
Yeah of course!! The example that brought this up is I have a card entitled “Mother’s day gift ideas”. I would like this card to not be visible in the main view (where prying eyes can see it), but still be able to search it when I need to buy the gift. Right now I have to remember that it is a invisible card and look in a different place (the custom collection) or filter my home view. It’s not a huge deal, just an additional step.
Totally get the config overload point. If I looked at user preferences and it was a wall of toggles I’d be intimidated too.
