Is there a way to contribute to translations?

Hello,

As a Korean user, I would first like to thank you for making Supernotes compatible with the Korean language.

However, the persistence of English in menus, settings, and system messages presents a barrier to entry for Korean users who are not proficient in English, such as my family and friends.

Given that Supernotes has a very intuitive and straightforward structure, I believe that translating these few elements would greatly enhance the user experience. It seems reasonable for URLs to remain in English; the suggestion is specifically for the UI elements like menus, settings, and messages to be available in Korean.

To facilitate this, you could consider using a collaborative translation platform like Crowdin or Transifex, which allows users to participate in the localization process.

Are there any plans to introduce a feature that allows users to contribute to translations?

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Hi @goodjinc, that is a great point and localization has been something we’ve been thinking about for a while, but we haven’t prioritized it enough.

After Supernotes 3.2 is released, we plan to make localization of Supernotes a top priority. Once we have made the necessary modifications to the app, we will definitely open up the language files to members like yourself to help us translate into as many languages as we can.

Thank you for your response.
I hope that many people around the world will be able to enjoy Supernotes in their own languages.
Thank you for developing a great app.
