Kindly add the ‘Align Text Option’

Left, Centered, Right, Justified

Hi @qdci, a warm welcome to the Supernotes Community! :tada:

Out of interest, what use cases and workflows were you thinking of using an aligning text option for? Since Supernotes revolves around small, short-form notecards, it’s unlikely we will ever add an aligning text option to keep things simple and straightforward (unless there’s demand from our community here, of course!)

Aligning makes things more simple and organized

If I were in your place, I would definitely make this a priority… thanks…

I was just about to request the same feature (just center alignment specifically).

There are cards which I write, where I like to quote some eqipgraph. I know Supernotes has a block quote feature ‘>’ but block quoting aesthetically feels very academic for the use case where I am trying to quote something to set the aesthetic vibe or tonal texture of a collection of cards. I often make collections of ideas and resources on various topics of my interest (i’m doing a phd in philosophy of physics). For the collection’s parent card, sometimes it’s nice to add a historical quote illuminating why a particular topic is worthy of investiation or attach a beautiful diagram, painting or poem.

I supect this might sound like a peculiar and niche problem but the reason I love Supernotes is precisely for its careful attention on these micro UX elements which create the ‘good vibes’ of the app.

ps - I fully understand your philosophy and rationale behind short-form card choice. It has definitely impacted, not just my internal (cognitive) personal knowledge management but also my writing style. Now, I often write (what would otherwise only be) sentences as titles and expand upon them in my free time. Bigger writing projects seem considerably less daunting now too (by creating a skeleton draft, with various dozens of sub-sub-sub-sections as cards). I have written dissertation length manuscripts on it this way
