It would be great to have an option to disable the ability to check/uncheck the checkbox on shared cards.
Thanks!

Do you mean on the public share pages or within the Supernotes platform itself? For the latter, we envisioned the main way to prevent unwanted checkbox clicking is by only giving collaborators “reader” permissions. Is there a specific reason that doesn’t work for your use-case?
Aah, I mean the former. In the public share pages, viewers can toggle the checkboxes, and those changes persist until the tab is closed (in my case, they persist even after refreshing the tab). If users accidentally click on a checkbox, they have to open another tab to see the original checkbox state.
This is just my concern, but I want to prevent that from happening
This feature request would be useful in cases where the content of the public share card reflects something like “the current state of my tasks”, where I want to preserve the checkbox state for viewers.
However if the content of the card is something like “a list of items the viewer needs to check themselves”, it might be more useful to allow them to toggle the checkboxes (as it works now).
Therefore, if this feature is added, I would suggest making it an option when sharing the card publicly.
Hi @wldh, thanks for sharing further details – super helpful to know your different use cases.
