Is there currently a way to open the Outline notecards in a Noteboard?
I’d find it incredibly useful to be able to see them all together in one board, and to be able to explore the depth of my entire tree, starting at the top-level.

Outline is just based on card Visibility. So if you filter your Home collection by “Priority” Visibility you will be able to view all the cards in one go. And then you could create a more complex Collection that will only show you cards with a parent count of 0 and a child count of 1 if you just want to view your top level cards.
Is this what you’re asking?
A custom collection gives me some of what I’m looking for (being able to see the Outline cards in a Noteboard), but not the ability to expand the view depth and continue exploring the entire tree.
Gotcha, so you’re looking for a ‘noteboard-sized’ full width outline?
Out of interest would it be a requirement for you to be able to see multiple depths of the outline in this new view, or would you be happy with a table format where you could quickly jump inside cards and view child cards as rows?
Exactly!
I’d definitely like to be able to view multiple depths in the Noteboard. That’s such a powerful and useful feature of Supernotes, so taking it away feels extremely restrictive.
My use case would be perfectly solved if you enabled depth on all Collections. Because if the Home
view allowed depth, with it set to One Layer
that would show all the top-level Notecards (i.e. the Outline).
Out of interest, is there a reason why Collections don’t currently allow depth? From both a UX consistency, and a use case flexibility perspective, I prefer having both depth and filtering available everywhere.
Also, my preference would be to rename Home
to All
, as I think that more clearly communicates the “why” and the “what” of that collection.
Would love the table view, if possible
