Redundant note card creation on share-to action

Description of the bug
When I use the system’s build-in share-to function to create a note in Supernotes, it happens sometimes, but not always, that two cards are created.

  1. The first card contains shared title and content and the tag saved on the go
  2. The second card contains the shared title and the tag, but comes with a blank body. Plus, it is indicated that sync didn’t work.

As this occurs only in about half of the cases, I suppose it could be related to a time-synchronization issue which already was responsible for other issues on my device.

Device, App & Version
Android 12, Supernotes 3.1.4

Steps to reproduce
Create a note in TickTick (or some other app), select Share and choose Supernotes as a target.

Not fixed, unfortunately. This my major issue, currently, as I have a workflow that heavily relies on sharing stuff from 3rd party apps.

Hi @freisatz, I’m sorry to hear this still isn’t fixed for you. I’ve just reopened this.

We reworked a lot of this code to be more robust, but clearly it’s wasn’t robust enough. Does this still happen in half the cases for you and is there a reliable way you can replicate this to happen every time? I assume you’ve already tried logging out and then back in and that’s not resolved things?

Logging off and on didn’t help. But I found a pattern: it happens if and only if the Supernotes app is already open in the background.
