Screen capture with link to source

Hi everyone - I’m new to supernotes and really liking what I’m seeing so far.

Qq - I work a lot with Google docs and sheets. How do I screen capture a part of a doc (eg. a table with data) and send it to a Note? Ideally the Note also has a link to the doc where I got the screen capture so I can open it later on if needed. Thank you.

I just upgraded to the paid version. I believe it comes with priority support. How do I get help here? Thanks.

Hi @jmahtani, really happy to hear you’re enjoying Supernotes, welcome!

Regarding screen capture, which device / operating system are you using? It sounds like you’d need to use the native screenshot / snipping tool on your device or a third party app like Cleanshot to get a screenshot of a table which you can then paste in Supernotes. You can also configure a browser keybind to quickly copy a url and send it to Supernotes.

If you’re using a Mac you can use the Clipping function with our Raycast Extension that allows you to clip text from anywhere.

I hope that helps. Thanks for your support and upgrading. If you want even faster help, feel free to get in touch with us via the in-app messenger ( ? ) > Chat with Us. Connor and I read the forum here daily, however due to the volume of requests we don’t always reply (but our wonderful community most of the time does )

Thanks tobias. Is there a way for the URL source to be copied over? In this way, I can always go to the original doc.

For sure, this requires finding an external tool or extension that will let you do this. It’s not really a limiting factor from our end at Supernotes. Having a quick browse on the Chrome Extensions store, this extension might do the trick and let you copy the image and the url – but I’ve never used it.

Personally I use a browser keybind so I can copy the url with CmdShiftC and then paste it in a card, along with a screenshot from Cleanshot. It’s two steps, but it means I can have more control over what I’m doing.
