I really like the new character soft-limit counter. It’s much easier to understand, and it no longer feels like cards have a hard cap. Before, whenever I introduced someone to Supernotes, they’d see the old counter and immediately assume there was a strict limit until I explained you could actually go over it.

I think I might getting the first bullet under improved with daily view and daily cards wrong - maybe in addition to daily filter which was introduced in 3.2.0

Can anyone help with some additional info?

Exactly why we made the change! There were previously two things called “Daily” that didn’t by necessity go together: the “views” (I.e. clicking on a calendar date and seeing all the cards created or targeted for that date) and then daily cards, which are mostly intended as “aggregation” cards (primarily developed for use with integrations / 3rd party sources as a simple triage system).

Daily cards keep their name, the views we’ve switched to be called “Calendar” views in various parts of the UI. For example if you go to Supernotes in a web browser you will see those now show “/v/calendar/2025-08-20” in the URL bar, rather than “/v/daily/2025-08-20”.
