Hi there I have been lurking around and toying with SN for years but taking a closer look now.
What I’m curious about is how people use this to be organised, as in daily stuff - jotting down thoughts, to-dos, allocating things to other days, linking things together.
My memory sucks so I need to write stuff down, organise it then action it where needed too.
I actually do like writing down small jots, kind of like interstitial journal entries on a daily card every day. And whenever a thought comes to mind I append it to this daily card. If it’s about a concept or something that might deserve another card I just create it on the fly with [[Example card]] and later get to it in the Thought section, where it either gets more context or maybe junked depending on the feeling I have that day. This gives additional time-based context for me both in the form of the daily card itself but also the potential additional cards created. However, I don’t add double brackets only because, only when I feel it could be a reason for a proper card to flesh out later.
This has helped me transition from other apps like Twos and Obsidian in a good way to play to Supernotes’ strengths and flexibility.
Hopefully this could be some food for thought for someone.
A few weeks ago I started using “things to crush” - Cards. On those I merged together ongoing tasks, tasks in the line or things I am waiting for. I have a card for each topic I am working on and on busy days I added a “daily crush” card where I have an overview on all things for that day with links to the dedicated “things to crush” card.
For me it’s easier with those things to crush cards because I have the context of all tasks on that topic.
I then have the classic inbox where I quickly jot down thoughts via iOS shortcut or have shared things from other apps that are tagged with “saved on the go”.
i havent actually set this up yet, but i’d think using tags which organise into collections to review later could be useful? having a sort of inbox, then as you move on with to-dos you could change the tags to move them to different collections, kind of like a kanban system i guess.
