Description of the bug
Suddenly the uploading of images to the cards stopped working. I have tried restarting the app as well as tried using different images and cards.
App & Version
MacOS App 3.1
Steps to reproduce
Try copy pasting an image (or using couple and image upload). Both of them result in “upload failed”
Hi @wcchay, thanks for letting us know. Did you try to upload this image multiple times, or just once?
If it’s not too private and you did try to upload more than once, it would be very helpful for you to send this image to us directly via the in-app messenger (you can click “Chat with Us” after clicking the help “?” button).
I managed to find another way to paste the image. What I need to do is to save the file locally first, then drag it from the folder to the card. However, I’m still not able to directly paste from Window’s snipping tool.
I, too, am having this issue intermittently but frequently in iOS. Updated to latest iOS and Supernotes. Usually if I persist I succeed by the 3rd to 5th try. Just now this is the photo that’s failing to upload.
I also see this issue from time to time but it seemly happens at random. When I was using my iPad with Split View (the mini version of the app on the right) it failed every time. Now I’m seeing this also on my phone. In the end after a couple tries it does work.
Thanks for the further info @blaycock53 and @SideMatter. We’ve had another look into this issue, however the root cause always seems to be a connectivity issue with images uploading to AWS end rather than an issue with the Supernotes app itself.
We’ve got some improvements in 3.2, and we have bigger plans for an image (and file support) overhaul in the future.
