Underscore, asterisk in LaTeX automatically doubles

When typing underscores or asterisks in LaTeX, i.e.

$\mathcal{A}_\hbar$

the underscore makes Supernotes assume that I’m about to start writing italics, formats accordingly, and automatically inserts a second underscore. Likewise with asterisks. Is it possible for supernotes to detect that I’ve started a statement with a dollar sign and disable the autocomplete delimiter functionality until I close the LaTeX statement?
Thanks!
