Hi everyone!
I wanted to share something I’ve been working on: an unofficial web clipper (Chrome extension) for Supernotes. If you’re interested, you can check it out and give it a try!
- GitHub Link: Sn Web Clipper
- Download Link: Download sn-clipper.zip
- Installation Instructions:
- Download the
sn-clipper.zip
file from the link above.
- Open Chrome and go to
chrome://extensions/
.
- Enable “Developer mode” in the top right corner.
- Drag the zip file into the page to install it.
If you prefer not to install from a zip file for security reasons, no worries! I’ve also submitted the extension to the Chrome Web Store, and it’s currently under review. I’ll update you as soon as it’s available there.
I know the Supernotes team is also working on an official web clipper, which I’m sure will offer a more thoughtful and feature-rich experience. In the meantime, I built this unofficial version for those who, like me, just want a simple solution.
I highly recommend using the official web clipper once it’s released, as it will likely offer more features and a polished experience. For now, if you try this version and encounter any issues, please report them by creating a GitHub issue. PRs are also welcome!
A big thanks to the Supernotes team @tobias @connor for releasing such wonderful APIs, allowing us developers to create awesome tools like this! If the Supernotes team has any feedback or suggestions for this unofficial tool, I’d be more than happy to hear them.
Thanks, and happy clipping!

Hi! I tried to install this extension in Arc browser (being Chromium based) and after entering the Api key, when I try to invoke the extension nothing happens. The window that should open in the top right corner doesn’t open. Could this be a problem with the Arc browser?
Hello!
Couple days late, sorry, I would assume so as when I was a beta tester for arc I had the same problem with many extensions when I used them. I would say try it on a different browser and see how it goes. (I recommend Vivaldi but i’m biased).
@antonello23
Thank you for testing out the extension! I see that you’ve already created an issue on GitHub—thank you for that! I’m currently testing this on the Arc browser. Since I don’t collect any error data due to privacy concerns, I might need to get more details from you to troubleshoot the issue. Could you please share the Arc version you’re using and, if possible, check the console log for any errors? That would help a lot in identifying the problem. Thanks again for your help!
@HasTBMM
Thanks for the recommendation! I’ll start by testing the extension on some popular Chromium browsers like Chrome and Edge first. I can also give Vivaldi a try afterward. Appreciate your input!
Hi everyone,
The Chrome Extension is now live on the Chrome Web Store! You can download it using the following link: SN Web Clipper (Unofficial)
Any feedback is welcome and appreciated. Happy clipping
Hi Tomax,
i downloaded the Chrome extensions from the web store, and now it seems work, even if there is some issue i guess (i attached some screenshots with annotations).
I’m just trying to save a post from Twitter, and i don’t know if this is the correct behaviour. It saves me the link not in the body (where maybe i can click again later) but in the title, where it’s not clickable. Again, I don’t really know if what I am trying to do is what it was intended for
The Arc version i’m running is the latest, 1.56. If you need some other help i’m here!
Thank you for the information! I’ll look into it and see what’s going on. I appreciate your help and patience.
