Graph view is great, but it seems to arrange itself how it likes. I know I can drag the nodes around and tease things out how I like, but I want to do this once and for all time and then each time I opened Graph, it would look the same (presuming I’d added no more linked cards). Sometimes I have X child cards, each numbered as sequential points from a parent card. I’d like to see them arrayed in a way of my own choosing. I think Scrintal has it’s problems, but I like this aspect of the infinite whiteboard and how cards appear linked. Is there a way to do this yet on Supernotes? Thanks.
Hi @bdj68, welcome to the Supernotes Community!
Regarding the graph view, it should already appear almost the same between sessions if no changes have been made to the hierarchy. However, it does not currently store any modifications you make, such as moving nodes around, as you’ve noticed.
While it could be useful to implement this feature, it might not be practical for most hierarchies since they tend to change frequently. And would really only apply to rare static hierarchies that remain unchanged over time.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, if anyone would like this please like Ben’s post above. A possible alternative is the Tabletop Whiteboard View, as discussed in this thread
Agree, I create new collections when a collection gets too large. Either sticking the positions of nodes or creating “sections” on the graph view (like heptabase) would help with research.
