Feature Request: Spotlight Random Note Review

I would like to propose a new feature similar to the Daily Review in Readwise or the Serendipity feature in MyMind. The idea is to have a “Spotlight” that presents a random note for review in a visually engaging manner. This feature would allow users to:

  1. Scroll through random notes: Each time the Spotlight is accessed, a different random note appears. The user can then scroll through a series of random notes without a predefined order, encouraging discovery and review.
  2. Keep or Discard: While reviewing, users can decide to either:
  • Keep the note (indicating it’s still relevant or useful).
  • Edit the note (iterating on it or creating child notes)
  • Discard the note (removing it if it’s no longer relevant).

This feature would be helpful for regular note review in a less structured way, sparking creativity and insight through serendipitous discovery.

Hi @alvaro.rodriguez, welcome to the Supernotes Community :sparkles:

Interesting, have you tried Robin’s Serendipity Collection yet? You could potentially improve on this so that if a card has a “#reviewed” tag it is taken out of the collection.

So I have used random sorting in the main view and that sort of accomplishes part of what I want to, but it’s unfocused and may be overwhelming. I was looking for something more like a focused view.

This is how it appears on MyMind for example:
