Supernotes 3.0.7 is out now :magic_wand:

We’re still working on Custom Collections (and other fun things!), so decided to bump up a few big things that were slated for 3.1 but have already been completed. Thank you for your feedback here on the forum, as always if you’ve reported a bug / made a feature suggestion, you should be credited in the release notes below.

SN Pro Font Family

Our new typeface, SN Pro, is now live across all mobile, desktop and web apps. Designed in-house with markdown in mind, SN Pro has improved legibility, prettier symbols and faster ligatures. Learn why and how we designed it here.

Simplified Cards

Fast, easy sharing is at the core of Supernotes. But sometimes you will never share a card, whether it’s a quick shopping list, a private reflection or a draft you are working on. Now cards will only present you with their sharing features (likes, comments) once you start sharing! We’ve also given cards in Seamless mode a new lick of paint, with vertical color indicators so you can see what color a card is even if you can’t see the title.

Mobile Quick Actions

Quickly create a card or a checklist, view your today view or get some help from us with mobile app quick actions. Just hold down the mobile app icon on your home screen to view these options.

  • Remove Solo mode from the app, as the card re-design bakes this in automatically

Okay, now this is what I’d call a “flex” minor release! :heart:

A custom typeface? Open sourced?! Which is gorgeous, balanced, and delightful?!! Thank you so much for the huge amount of work that must have gone into creating and sharing it!

Also, the app loads significantly faster from cold on my machine now. :rocket: Is that a hidden speed boost in this release, or something from a previous release that I missed?

One of the major slowdowns for cold boot was populating the search index. As part of a collection of fixes to the underlying search system (and the addition of “search in current view”), performance for that should be greatly improved, which is probably what you’re noticing.

Thanks for the effort! i love the changed interface of the card and how beautiful SN Pro is! I searched in the settings but didn’t find anything … is it possible to choose the bold weight? I would love to use SN in dark mode, but then I can’t differ bold and regular weight and can’t see inline links … (also due to my poor eyesight).

Hi @isaiur, happy to hear you’re enjoying the new SN!

We’ve noted down while back to improve the weights of the fonts, and now with SN Pro we can do this a lot more easily. If you update your old post here with examples of how you’d like it, we will see what we can do :slight_smile:

SN Pro looks great. The rounded glyphs in Supernotes always reminded me of Gotham Rounded or those rounded technical typefaces from the 1950s-80s.

I really like the new update, great work as always.
Only one thing I wish it stayed as before:
When adding a link or parent to a card, the menu showed the most recent cards previously, and it made linking faster for me.

Good catch @upsaad, bit of an oversight on our part. We will fix this in the next update.

Today I stumpled upon this:

I had to close and re-open Supernotes to update the Info on the card.

Hi @isaiur, we’re aware of times not updating on cards and there’s an open bug report on this here.

No need to close and re-open SN, you should just be able to change your view (to one that removes the card and then to another that includes the card), and it will update then.
